13th European Electric Steelmaking Conference

3rd – 7th of June 2024 in Essen, Germany

This year the EEC conferenc finally takes place again in the heart of the European steel industry, the Ruhr area around Essen, Duisburg and Bochum. We are looking forward to our participation and many new impressions about the European steelmaking industry.
Visit us during the conference or participate in our presentation about fast slag measurement with the title „How the sample preparation free LIBS-technology opens new possibilities for increasing efficiency in steel making and steel refining“ on the 5th of June 1:25 pm on room 3.

AISTech 2024

6th - 9th of May in Columbus, Ohio, USA

We are looking forward to the AISTech2024 (The Iron & Steel Technology Conference and Exposition).
Meet Amit Ahsan on 7th of May 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM on room A220 presenting the abilities of LIBS-technology by SECOPTA analytics GmbH for quick analysis of ferroalloys and slag ensuring tighter control of alloys at the receiving gate followed by on-time process correction.

BKM'24 Berliner Konferenz Metallkreisläufe

March 13 + 14, 2024 in Berlin, Germany

Innovative laser-based sensor technology opens up new possibilities for the efficient use of secondary raw materials.
Using LIBS (Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy), scrap can be precisely sorted into fractions and thus fed back into the material cycle in a targeted manner.
In the second step, the composition of the melt can be monitored in real time by the LIBS sensors from Secopta analytics GmbH when the scrap is melted down.
This allows high-quality products to be manufactured in a resource and energy-saving manner.

SBSC - Sensor-Based Sorting & Control

March 13 - 14, 2024 in Aachen, Germany

We are looking forward to the 10th SBSC in Aachen.
Meet Christian Bohling presenting the abilities of LIBS-technology by Secopta analytics GmbH to achieve fine grained sorting and recycling of metal scrap or minerals

Hüttentag 2023

16. November 2022 in Essen, Germany

Be curious about a great lecture by our Dr. Bohling on the topic:
"Nie wieder Materialverwechslungen – Vollautomatische Materialkontrollsysteme auf Laserbasis"
Date: 16.11.2023
Session 2: Digitalised steel plant (I)
We are looking forward to your visit.

METEC 2023

12 - 16 June 2023 in Düsseldorf, Germany

The world's leading trade fair for metallurgical technology. Meet the world's best experts in the metallurgical industry.
We will demonstrate our SlagLIBS instrument for the analysis of heterogeneous materials without sample preparation and show you our PMI measuring head, which allows you to quickly check passing material for mix-ups.
You will find us in hall 4, booth A23

Barg and SECOPTA agree on partnership

In the field of innovative building material analysis

As of March 2020, Barg Baustofflabor GmbH & Co. KG expanded its portfolio with the innovative concreteLIBS system from SECOPTA. The main application is the fast and highly spatially resolved chloride analysis in concrete cores.
Barg and SECOPTA also agreed on a long-term partnership in the further development of innovative LIBS applications in the field of building materials testing.

SECOPTA "LIBS Seminar - Always know what's inside"

28.06.2018 Teltow, Germany

The SECOPTA organized on 28.06.2018 in Teltow her well-attended LIBS seminar entitled "Always know what's inside", which was the first seminar ever in Germany. Against the background of the current "Industry 4.0" discussion, we presented the special features of the LIBS method in more detail, in particular the advantages such as continuous, fast and non-contact measurement directly in the production flow and without sampling and sample preparation. After the very good extensive lectures, the practical part was transferred to the SECOPTA laboratory. The participants were shown the using of our LIBS systems based on DEMO units, which met with great interest. In the evening we celebrated our 20th anniversary with our guests. A big thank you to all our guests, who made the seminar so successful and unforgettable.
